Official Payments

Official Payments is an awesome site that works like a well oiled machine. You can make real time payments. You can pay tax payments! Last years, this years or next years, it doesn’t matter! Pay individual or business taxes. You can make state payments. Pay Real Estate or personal property taxes, court fees and tuition payments.

I’ve personally paid quarterly taxes for 2009 this way and the entire process is smooth. You can pay without creating an account and you can print your receipt but they also send a copy of the receipt via email. If you choose to create an account they will retain certain information that will make it easier to use the service in the future and they also retain info on previous transactions.

You can pay via credit card, debit card, green dot or they now offer the option to pay via bill me later. There is a convenience fee but it’s worth it for the benefit of being able to pay so conveniently. It’s a flat fee for debit cards of $3.95 and 2.35% of the amount you are paying for other transactions over and above the amount of your actual payment.
